English Translation

To Philotera, daughter of Ptolemaios, citizen woman without guardian,
from Auneos, son of [...]ion and Heron, son of Amatios, both from the village of Tebtynis in the Polemon division, of Persian descent.
We wish to lease from you jointly for two years from the coming ninth year of Emperor Hadrian Caesar, our lord, from the lands you also hold under lease,
thirty and one-quarter arouras, or however many there may be, at an annual rent without seed of one hundred seventy-two artabas of barley,
and annually [...] one artaba of shoots and two roosters, each worth two drachmas, without deduction and without risk.
And we will perform each year all agricultural tasks required on the arouras at our own expense at the proper times, causing no damage,
sowing each year half the land with whatever crops we choose except [...], and the other half with barley.
We will deliver the annual rent in the month Pauni by your own six-choinix measure, with the public taxes being our responsibility as lessees.
At the end of the lease period, we will return the arouras free from all weeds and sedge, if you agree to lease.
The arouras are from the lands around Tebtynis belonging formerly to the household of the Alexandrians, previously of Queen Cleopatra, the sister.
