Παπνοῦθιν τὸν υἱὸν Ὡρίωνος δυσωπήσῃς καὶ τὰς δεκαὲξ τοῦ σίτου ἀρτάβας ὑ ποδέξῃ παρʼ αὐτοῦ. πάνυ δὲ θαυμάζω, πῶς οὔτε τὸ σχῆμα ὃ φορῖ ἐσχύνεται ψευδόμενος οὔτε σὲ τὸν πάσης τιμῆς ἄξιον δυσωπῖτε μηδὲ τὸ κεφάλαιον διὰ τοσούτου χρόνου βουλόμενος δοῦναι. <ἀσπάζομαι> τὸν κύριόν μου Ὀφέλλιον καὶ τὴν τιμιωτάτην μητέρα ἡμῶν Τιενὼρ καὶ Πῖναν κ̣α̣ὶ̣ Ὡ̣ρίω̣να· προσ̣α̣γ̣ο̣ρ̣ε̣ύ̣[ω] [καὶ τοὺς λοιποὺς ἀδελφοὺς ἡμῶν πάντας] κατʼ ὄνομ]α̣. ἐρρωμένον σε ψυχῇ καὶ σώματι ὁ κύριος φυλάξει.

Translation

"To Papnouthin, the son of Horion, you will receive the sixteen artabas of grain from him. Truly, I marvel how neither the form which you bear is ashamed, being false, nor do you regard as worthy of all honor, nor do you wish to give the capital after so long a time. I embrace my lord Ophelion and our most honorable mother Tienor and Pina and Horion; I also greet all our other brothers by name. May the Lord keep you strong in soul and body."
