The Aurelians and Heracles of Poudentos, and all the associates, the decans from the village of Panueve, with the guarantor, agree to the establishment of the visible wages of Ptolemy, the greater Ptolemy of the same village, and Aurelius Heracleides of Skulakios, the supervisor of the animals being sent to Babylon for a divine epidemic. The decans have agreed with the supervisor for one area of a single rod bearer of the same animals from the eighth of the current month, Pauni, receiving from the supervisor through the decans for a daily wage of two thousand drachmas. From here, the supervisor acknowledges having received from the decans for a wage of two months from the same eighth twenty talents of silver, and the visible amounts until the completion of the supervision will be received from the same decans, and I, Ptolemy, will provide the visible salaries for the untroubled, unskilled, and uncharged regarding those differing in the same rod-bearing. The principal agreement is written in duplicate, and when questioned, they acknowledged. From the fathers Paulinus and Julianus of the most illustrious Pauni, the Aurelians and Heracles, we agree with all those present and when questioned, we acknowledged. Aurelius Ptolemy guarantees as is proposed, having written and on their behalf not knowing the letters.

Aurelii Alois, son of Choous, and Herakles, son of Poudes, and all their associates, the decani from the village of Paneuei, mutually agree, with a guarantor, for the payment of the wages that will become due, with Ptolemaios, son of Ptolemaios the elder, from the same village, and Aurelius Herakleides, from Skylakion, overseer of animals being sent to Babylon for the divine visitation. The decani have agreed with the overseer on one position of a rod-bearer for the aforementioned animals, starting from the eighth day of the current month Pauni, with the overseer receiving from the decani as daily wages two thousand drachmas. From this point, the overseer acknowledges having received from the decani, for two months' wages from the same eighth day, twenty talents of silver. The remaining amounts that will become due until the completion of the oversight he will receive from the same decani. And I, Ptolemaios, undertake to provide the salaries that will become due, ensuring that they remain undisturbed, unharmed, and free from penalty concerning matters related to the same rod-bearing position. This agreement, written in duplicate, is valid, and upon being questioned, they agreed.
In the consulship of the most illustrious Paulinus and Julianus, on the first of Pauni.
(Hand 2) We, Aurelii Alois and Herakles, consent to all the aforementioned terms, and upon being questioned, we agreed. I, Aurelius Ptolemaios, guarantee as stated above, having written also on behalf of those who do not know letters.
