To Aurelius Herakleides, son of Herakleides, who has served as gymnasiarch and prytanis, councillor of the splendid and most illustrious city of Oxyrhynchus, from Aurelius Kastor, son of Pathermouthios, from the same city.
I voluntarily undertake to lease, for only the present 47th year, 29th, 2nd of the produce, 12th indiction, the fruit of the date palms of your two plots, northern and southern, of the orchard, on condition that I myself carry out the harvesting of these and duly transport them to my own place, and that I myself shall pay as fixed rent for the entire produce of these same date palms eight thousand silver talents (which amounts to silver talents 8,000), free from all risk.
Once the lease is confirmed to me, I shall pay the rent in three installments, the entire amount being paid from Mesore until Hathyr, talents 2,663 2.
