Of the given election by the political place of the Capitoline under the sunlit portico for the opening of a tavern, it is publicly proposed that all may know and those wishing to offer better elections may come forward, maintaining a discourse with the city regarding all matters of justice. I willingly accept to lease under the sunlit portico of the city of Capitoline a workshop for the opening of a tavern for one year from the new moon of the next month [Mecheir] of the current year 1 (year) of the lease per month eight drachmas. And I will use the acceptance confirmed to me for the workshop with the income and expenses for the time without hindrance, and I will pay the rent per month thirty without delay, and at the end of the time I will return the place clean from dung and all filth and whatever I may receive, doors and keys, or I will pay whatever I do not hand over the value of the price, the transaction being as it should be. The acceptance is valid, concerning which I have acknowledged when questioned. But if I am not confirmed, I will not be held to this promise.
