English Translation

Claudius Areios, strategos of the Oxyrhynchite nome, to Papantos and his partners, grain collectors of the eastern district of Pakerke, greetings. Measure out, following the deposit of both the seed grain and those previously appointed, as Harpoch( ), royal scribe, jointly instructs, to Herakleides son of Herakleides, grandson of Ptolemaios, whose mother is Diogenis daughter of Sarap( ), from the city of Oxyrhynchos, about (age?) [ ], having a scar on the left shin, whom he will identify at his own risk, for seed grain from the produce of the past year for sowing in the current 12th year of Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus Germanicus, in the lands which Ammonios, village scribe of Psobthis and Perothes, cultivates: around Psobthis, eastern district, belonging to the estate of Atikrates and Sostratos, 30 arouras; and around Perothes, in the name of Ptolemaios son of Araios, 6 arouras; and of the remaining land, 14 arouras, as it occurs, on the same estate's revenue land from Nile-flooded area, 41¼ arouras, (requiring) 41¼ artabas of wheat, which he will deposit safely into the land, without any deduction for debt or anything else whatsoever, from whom he will also receive the appropriate written receipt concerning the restoration of the produce, together with the due taxes of the land.
