Chairemon, son of Chairemon, from Maroneia, appointed by Claudius Antoninus, to the agoranomos, greetings. Register the mortgage contract of Didymos, son of Sarapion, son of Didymos, whose mother is Charitous, daughter of Petosios, from the city of Oxyrhynchus, concerning the property belonging to Dionysios, also called Amois, son of Phanios, also called Amois, whose mother is Zenarion, daughter of Dionysios, from the same city, and which was apportioned to him by his mother Zenarion when she was alive. By this contract he made a deposit through the record office in the same city in the month Mecheir of the tenth year of Nero, from the property belonging to him in the city of Oxyrhynchus, in the quarter of Sarapion, on Hermias street, a house containing a two-story tower, a gateway, an exedra, an atrium, an arched chamber, and the courtyard adjoining the tower on the north side, in which there is a stone well and open spaces, formerly belonging to Herakleides, son of Philoxenos, and Ptolema, daughter of Asinios. The measurements from the northern corner of the gateway southward are sixteen cubits north to south on both sides, and thirty-two cubits west to east on both sides, making a total area of five hundred twelve square cubits, including all appurtenances. The courtyard north of the tower, containing the well, measures twenty-four cubits north to south on both sides, and eleven cubits west to east on both sides, making an area of two hundred sixty-four square cubits, including all appurtenances, thus totaling seven hundred seventy-six square cubits, all according to the stated agreement. Dionysios, also called Amois, mortgaged this property to him for a principal sum of one thousand three hundred silver drachmas, with interest of one drachma per mina per month, for a period of twelve months starting from the coming month Pharmouthi, the value of which is equivalent to four drachmas, eighty obols of bronze, totaling twenty-seven talents and three thousand drachmas of bronze. Farewell. Year 11 of Emperor Caesar Vespasian Augustus, month Phamenoth.
