Valerius Heron, also known as Sarapion, the accountant of Oxyrhynchus,
to Aurelius Seuthis,
and to Horion, who has served as accountant of the same city,
greetings to my dearest friend.
Concerning the letters of my most distinguished lord, the governor
of Egypt, Aelius Hyginus, regarding the administration of your
city, the political matters of the funds that are in the deposits
and those owed, not only those that are thought to be paid,
having requested me to send to the order within the written deadline,
I saw you not present at once,
but according to the command of the superiors, I was to be absent from the secretary
of the city.
I intended to fulfill this, who, since you were absent, could not confirm these matters
and since it is now appropriate
that the commanded be fulfilled, I send you the equal of the written matters
so that you may know how to arrange them; I wish you to be strong, my dearest.
Of the consuls of our lords, Valerius Licinnianus Licinnius Augustus
and Flavius Valerius Constantine, son of kings, before
the Kalends of July.
Aelius Hyginus greets the accountant of Oxyrhynchus.
The matters of administration of the accountant before you.
