English Translation

To Androsthenes, also called Rufus, strategos of the Oxyrhynchite nome, from Demarion, daughter of Apion son of Dorion, whose mother is Helen, from the city of Oxyrhynchus, acting with her guardian, her father Apion son of Dorion, whose mother is Kleuparous, from the same city: My husband, Dionysios also called Sarapion, son of Apollonios, whose mother is Sinthonis, from the same city, died intestate on the past Monday, leaving as heirs his minor children by me, Hermes and Heraïs. Therefore, submitting this petition, I request that you instruct the city scribe to appoint a guardian for the minors, so that nothing belonging to them may be lost.
