To Aurelius Achilles (?) the new priest of the great Sarapis, to the most esteemed council, by Aurelius Loggienus, son of Theon, of the mother Diogenis from the illustrious city of Oxyrhynchus. Having been judged at the crossroads of Crete in the year of the reign of Alexander, as a foreigner, and having been presented without knowledge by the phylarch. Therefore, it seemed good in the most esteemed council that those who have just claims should present this within the three-month period for the rectification of the matter, to be able to grant this request that you command to the phylarch of the public road on which I also served and my name is among those who are proclaimed.

English Translation

To Aurelius [Achilleus (?)] neokoros [temple attendant] of the great Sarapis, the most excellent hypomnematographos [recorder or secretary], and to those chosen by the most excellent council as judges, from Aurelius Longinus, son of Theon, grandson of Theon, whose mother is Diogenis, from the illustrious city of Oxyrhynchus. Having been judged in the quarter [amphodon] of the Cretans in the fourth year [...] of the reign of Alexander, being absent abroad, I was summoned unknowingly by the phylarch [local official]. Therefore, it was decided by the most excellent council that those who have any rightful claim should present it within three months, in order to obtain correction of the matter judged. Thus, I submit this petition, requesting that you instruct the phylarch of the aforementioned quarter, in which I also performed public service, and that my name be included among those publicly announced.
