To the most illustrious of our lords, Valentinian and Valens, the most noble Augustus, from the most illustrious Sarmaitae and Diogenes of Oxyrhynchus, from Aurelius Dorotheus and Papnuthius, both from the same city. Before this, we were led by Eulogius, who was governing, to fill the need for assistance in the village of Teruthis and to provide all necessary resources for finding and giving to the public needs until we fulfill the demand of the aforementioned village, and indeed, having been persuaded, we have completely fulfilled the need. However, in the meantime, no need was provided, but we were thrown to the demanding ones and were insulted in our requests for the same village. Therefore, from the great poverty, having nothing at all, we borrowed from the lenders a specified amount of silver and coins, which were given to the same public, and that we were not permitted by the same Eulogius to go to the aforementioned village from the month of Tybi until the present and we are providing interest to the lenders who have been useful to us, not having been allowed to make the demand for the resources previously used by us, but also his son Sarapion and Dorotheus, the assistant, was sent to Teruthis on our behalf and the demand is fulfilled.
