To Aurelius Harpocrates, the successor of the command of Oxyrhynchus.
Aurelius Agathos, son of Silvanus, from the city of Oxyrhynchus, a sailor, I swear by the fortune of Caesar Gallienus, my lord, to sail to the ships sent to the Arsinoite region for the distribution of public grain and to perform all naval service and not to be negligent until I am released, so that I may not incur any blame, receiving from the honorable men in charge of the ships each month the payment of one hundred sixty drachmas, or I would be liable to the oath. I have provided as my guarantor Aurelius Dion, son of Plution, from the same city, present and in good standing.
(Year) 13.
Of the Emperor Caesar Publius Licinnius Gallienus Germanicus, Most Pious and Fortunate.
(Hand 2) Aurelius Agathos son of Silvanus swore the oath as is customary. Aurelius Apollonios, son of Apollonios, wrote on his behalf without his knowledge.
(Hand 3) I, Aurelius Dion, son of Plutios, guarantee Agathos as is customary. (Hand 4) Aurelius Onnophres, the guarantor.
