The common people from the village of Takona of the Oxyrhynchite nome, through us, John Patbous and Nila Serenus, receiving and the opinion of the other fellow villagers, Aurelius Anuphius, son of Theodoros, through you, his father Theodoros, son of the Great and Didymus from the Oxyrhynchites, greetings from the legal representative. The circle of the year is such that we have named you the legal representative according to the ratio imposed on our village, having been born of one generation and having maintained one opinion, we have named you the aforementioned Anuphius through your father Theodoros for the 12th and 13th of the distributions into the same territory of the legal representative and care for you to remain and to obey the same care of the legal representative and not to be left behind, and it was agreed and it seemed to us that we, each year, as it has been said, to provide you with a word of wages outside of the so-called auxiliary gold coins, twenty-six towards you, however, to respond to the public and to do all that pertains to the legal representative and to provide every response on our behalf according to the part imposed on us and not to be left behind. And for your safety, we have made this name for you, which is the principal simple name written, and having been questioned, we have agreed.
