To Petronius Dionysius, the general,
Horus son of Totho, of the mother Tetsora,
give from the village of Psobtheos
an oath.
I swear by the Emperor Caesar,
Titus Aelius Hadrianus,
Antoninus Augustus,
piously and willingly to bring forth Dionysius ―
son of Eutyches,
from the city of Oxyrhynchus,
being brought down in the same Psobtheos,
born of the ship which I will also provide
manifest whenever it is sought outside
of any place of asylum,
I will protect all or I will be responsible for the above
matter or I will be guilty by the oath.
(Year)
Of the Emperor
Caesar Titus
Aelius Hadrianus Antoninus
Augustus of Eusebius, the month of Hadrianus.
Horus son of Totho swore the oath
and I am bringing forth Dionysius as it is written. Thonās,
who is also Theonās, wrote on his behalf without knowing the letters.
