To Thonius, my beloved brother, in the Lord,
greetings.
I wish you to be whole in soul and body.
I know that if you have not yet bought the linen cloth and the others, do not buy them. For the man has renounced concerning it, as I told you, that: I do not want it.
Do not neglect to send the board immediately,
and let me know to whom you wish to transfer its value.
Remember to buy for me a virgin perfect chair made of wool
and Canopic.
The beloved Tithoë from me
sends greetings.

Ptolemaios to Thonios, his beloved brother in the Lord, greetings.
Before all else, I pray that you may be well in soul and body.
I want you to know that if you have not yet bought the linen cloth and the other things, do not buy them.
For the man has refused it, as I told you, saying: "I do not want it."
But do not neglect to send the tablet immediately, and inform me to what you wish to change its price.
Remember to buy for me a perfect, virgin-quality, haircloth cloak and a Canopic one.
Greet warmly from me the beloved Tithoes.
To Thonios, brother, from Ptolemaios.
