This document pertains to the office of Antoninus Marcellinus and Petronius Probinus, the most illustrious, in the year of the Lord, concerning the land of Kerkemounin from the estate of Philon, four aruras, and from the estate of Stratos, four and a half aruras, to be rented for the current year. The tax is to be paid without risk, and the public lands shall be under your control until you receive the tax. Upon confirmation of the acceptance, I will return the tax from the new harvests, with the tax on the grain and the barley measured in the tenth of the produce, and the tax on the half arura of the barley. The tax on the grass will be two artabas for each arura, and I will make the necessary arrangements for the naval taxes. The tax is free from all danger, and the public lands shall be under your control until you receive the tax. I, Aurelius Horus Panecot, will rent the land and will pay all debts in full as required. I, Aurelius Fronton, have written on behalf of him, claiming not to know letters.

In the consulship of Antonius Marcellinus and Petronius Probinus, the most illustrious, on the 22nd of Phaophi.
To Gaius Julius Leucadius, son of Heracleianus, through Flavius Eusebius, former accountant, guardian,
from Aurelii Horus, son of Panechotes, and Paponthes ... both from the village of Pankyleos.
We voluntarily undertake to lease, for the present 36th, 18th, and 9th year, from your possessions around Kerkemounis, four arouras from the allotment of Philon and another four and a half arouras from the allotment of Stra...nos, totaling eight and a half arouras, to be cultivated half with wheat and half with fodder. We will pay you as rent for the half cultivated with wheat forty-four artabas of wheat, and for the half cultivated with fodder two artabas of barley per aroura, and I will also undertake the transportation of the produce to the boats.
The rent is free from all risk, the public taxes of the land being your responsibility as the landowner who has control of the crops until you receive the rent.
Once this agreement is confirmed, I am obligated to deliver the rent from the new harvest, the wheat clean and the barley sifted, measured by the tenth measure of the property, with four choinikes added to each artaba, in the month of Epeiph of the same year without delay, the collection being made by you from me as is proper.
This agreement is valid, and upon being questioned, I have agreed.
(hand 2) I, Aurelius Horus, son of Panechotes, have leased the land and will deliver all that is owed in full as stated above. I, Aurelius Fronto, wrote on his behalf, as he stated that he does not know letters.
