They confess to each other that Menas, son of Eudaimon, mother of Apia, coming from the city of Oxyrhynchus, in the village of Psobthe, which is in the district of the sun, is the agent of silver village taxes of the aforementioned places of Psobthe and the Theons of Horei, of Ammonius, mother of Tanachotides, from the same city of Oxyrhynchus. Menas has been joined to Theon of the aforementioned agency for the secretarial duties and the demand of all those under the royal law of the secretary to be presented at the same agency of genuine silver village taxes from the counting of the current month of Tybi until the counting of the month of Choiak of the coming year, upon which Theon has the demand and the collection of the genuine village taxes to be made according to the month.
He shall also provide the symbols to those who are writing, to be published, of the difficult and troublesome matters being sent by Theon to the village secretary of the places, with the agreement made with each other along with the value of the papers and writings of the books of the agency and the allocation of these to the accountant of the law and to others to whom it pertains, of five hundred silver drachmas, from which Theon has received thirty drachmas there. The remaining drachmas, forty-eight, shall be received by Theon from the same Menas within the deadlines of Pharouthi, one hundred drachmas, from Epeiph, eighty drachmas, and for the year of Phawfi, the remaining two hundred drachmas. And Theon is willing to do these and each of them as stated above, not being allowed to deviate from the aforementioned agreements.
