οἱ ἀπὸ Π̣[ ἐ]λθόντες ἐδίδαξαν πάλιν τι̣[ν]ὰ̣ς ἀγρογείτονας ἐπελθεῖν αὐτοῖς κ[αὶ καὶ] ἄλλα διαφέροντα τοῖς ἀπὸ τῆς εἰρημένης κώμης ν̣[ ] τολμῆσαι. γενοῦ κατὰ τὴν εἰρημένην κώμην καὶ παραφύλαξον αὐτοῖς τὸ ἀνεπηρέαστον, καὶ εἴ τινες ἐπ̣ι̣[χ]ειρ̣ή̣σουσιν παράνομόν τι κατʼ ἐκείνων πρᾶξαι ἢ ὅλως ἐνθυμηθῆναι, παρεγγύησον τοῖς πρωτεύουσιν αὐτῶν ἀποσχέσθαι τοῦ τοιούτου τολμήματος. εἰ γὰρ ἐπιμείνοιεν, πλῆθος ἐπιστήσεται στρατιωτικὸν καὶ τού̣τ̣ους̣ [ἀν]α̣[ρ]παστοὺς ποιοῦν τῷ δικαστηρίῳ παραστήσει πρὸς τιμωρίαν ὧν ἂν παρανομῆσαι τολμήσειεν.

Translation into English

"Barber (shop)
To Paul, brother of Silas, of Narrotes, Pachon
Those who came from [ ] taught again some of the villagers to approach them and other differing matters to those from the aforementioned village to dare. Be present in the aforementioned village and keep them unimpacted, and if anyone should attempt anything illegal against them or altogether consider it, instruct their leaders to refrain from such daring. For if they persist, a multitude will be gathered for military action and they will bring those [who are] abducted before the court for punishment of whatever they may dare to commit illegally."

"Official communication.
To Paulos, Silagr( ), brother, from Narroûs, Pachon 23.
Those who came from P[...] taught again certain neighboring villagers to attack them and to dare other things against those from the aforementioned village. Go to the said village and guard their safety. If anyone attempts to commit any unlawful act against them or even considers it, instruct their leaders to refrain from such audacity. For if they persist, a military force will be dispatched, and it will seize these individuals and bring them before the court for punishment for whatever unlawful acts they dared commit."
