† Of the kingdom and [of the] magistracy
of our most divine lord of the world, Flavius Mauricius, the eternal Augustus and Emperor, in the tenth year of the month of Payni, in the first indiction, in the village of Thinos in the province of Thebes.
† Aurelius Psatis, son of Abraham, of the mother of Tmouthis, a purple-dyer, and of this wife of his, Maria, from the father Philemon, mother Taniskenes, all from the city of Panos, now for a long time in the village of Thinos of the Thinitic law, providing on their behalf a signature and witnesses for this eternal transaction, the following signers,
we set forth this record to remain in simple written security in this lawful transaction and not to violate it at any time: to Aurelius Pachymius, our most sweet son, and to him, the purple-dyer, from the same village, greetings. In which we confess with a willing mind and voluntary will and sincere intention and unchangeable reasoning and unrepentant choice, with a certain right understanding, in every most complete lordly right and authority of all eternal possession, to have acted and to have been recorded well, being convinced today of the difference of our house, decayed and a cell with the plain place, with all of them, the lawful right being situated in the same village upon the bank called of the heirs Pachot and of the oil worker of the heirs Pachareabe, having come to us from the market by Victor Psaios and Senouthos Phalioutos according to the power of the two ancient transactions and the things set forth to you by us from the square of the present house and of the plain place and cell thus:
the note of the oil worker of the heirs [Pachareabe]: the northern part attached to the house of Pebotos Horos; the libation to the house of the heirs of Victor the elder and Pebotos Horos,
in which the door is open; the public bank of the sun or those who are neighbors from every side from the graves to the air, and to you, the buyer Pachymin, to rule over these and to prevail and to have all lordship and to improve and to build and to sell and to resell if you wish and to leave to the heirs and successors and co-owners and to grant and to use concerning him, in a manner as you may be inclined upon the whole and to carry through time: of the honor agreed upon towards one another and having agreed upon the donation of Senouthos the builder from the same village, gold coins of the lordly type, simple and valid, three hundred by the keration one weight of the [gold] coins, which we have received as a complete honor, we who are giving back Psatis and Maria, his wife, from you, the eternal Pachymius, by hand into hands from the house in full number, upon which we have set forth, the confirmation of these being made by us and by our heirs and successors and co-owners according to every confirmation from all that is coming upon us for the sake of our name or public debt or of any other single obligation at any time you may bring forth; if it should happen [that it may not be], a claim or dispute [may arise] concerning these upon us, the ones giving back and our heirs and successors and co-owners, to remove and to avert all of those coming upon or claiming or to know the price in double and all the expenses and the expenditures incurred into the improvement of these buildings; and if it should happen that you should be restored from similar in double to you, also to give a reason for a fine of gold simple, with this transaction to be firm and unshaken to be upon the total which we have set forth for a certain and secure safety, being offered everywhere. And having been asked, we have agreed.

† In the reign and consulate of our most divine lord of the world, Flavius Mauricius, the eternal Augustus and Emperor, in the tenth year, on the 20th of Pauni, at the beginning of the 11th indiction, in the village of Thinos in the province of Thebais.
† We, Aurelii Psates, son of Abrahamios, whose mother is Tmouthis, a purple-seller, and his wife Maria, daughter of Philamon and Taniskenes, all originally from the city of Panos, but now for a long time residing in the village of Thinos in the Thinite nome, providing for ourselves a subscriber and witnesses to this eternal sale, the undersigned below, set forth this written deed as a simple security document, to remain firm in this lawful sale and never to violate it; to Aurelius Pachymios, our most beloved son, himself also a purple-seller from the same village, greetings.
By this document we acknowledge, with voluntary consent and free will, with sincere conscience and irrevocable intention, with unchangeable purpose and firm, correct understanding, with every fullest right of ownership and eternal possession, that we have sold and registered today in good faith, convinced of the transaction, the house belonging to us, which is dilapidated, and a small room with the vacant plot, together with all their rights, situated in the same village on the street called "of the heirs of Pachot" and of the oil-press of the heirs of Pachareabe...
