Nikarchos, having gathered those from the harbor,

a dispute arose, as I was being insulted
with many and disgraceful things,
later also bringing to me an unworthy
cause in the presence of
certain citizens
and foreigners.

ἐν τῇ πλατείᾳ ἀμφιλογίαν ἕως μὲν
ἐλοιδόρει με πολλὰ καὶ ἀσχήμονα,
ὕστερον δὲ καὶ ἐπέφερέν μοι ἀγένητον

Nikarchos, one of those from the harbor, deliberately provoked me
in the public square into a dispute, during which
he insulted me with many shameful words,
and afterwards even brought against me a false accusation,
in the presence of certain citizens
and foreigners.
Therefore, I request that you summon him
and investigate this matter.
