To Aurelius Antoninus (centurion)
from Stotoetios Anchofeos from the village of Socnopaiou Nēsos.
I suffer every time
under Ekuseos, who is called Euporā from the same village,
who, having accomplished many things and other matters,
still having come to my relative for marriage in the common affairs of us,
is a man of all kinds, being very arrogant.
Therefore, in these matters, and in my laziness,
he forced me to make a written guarantee for him,
promising that if I do not do so, he will attempt to harm me.
Therefore, being unable to endure such arrogance in him,
I give up and demand that he be brought to trial.
For I will prove greater things than the aforementioned.
It is resolved.

5. ϋπο papyrus
12. ϋπαρχου papyrus
To Aurelius Antoninus (centurion),
from Stotoetis, son of Anchophis, from the village of Soknopaiou Nesos.
I suffer violence continually at the hands of a certain Ekyseus, also called Euporas, from the same village,
who, having committed many other wrongs against me, and moreover having entered into marriage with my female relative,
continually takes advantage of me in our common affairs, being an insolent man.
Furthermore, when I was in a state of weakness, he compelled me by force to make a written guarantee of security for him,
threatening that if I did not comply, he would make an attempt on my life.
Therefore, unable to endure such insolence from him, I submit this petition and request that he be brought to trial.
For at the hearing, I will demonstrate even greater wrongs than those mentioned above. Farewell.
5. "ϋπο" is the reading of the papyrus.
12. "ϋπαρχου" is the reading of the papyrus.
