To Ammonius Apion, greetings to your brother.

First of all, I embrace your sister and all your children. If you are able to arrange Persian matters regarding the marketplace, do not neglect it, as you know.

For the gods are willing, it is already about to be arranged here, and I too am about to come to you.

Therefore, do not neglect and immediately buy them for yourself.

In any case, act as you know that it is the will of God that I may soon reach you.

I also told the mute Dionysius to buy whatever he finds.

And send me a letter if you find anything. But do not neglect or be careless about whatever you may need to buy, as you know that nothing will harm me, nor will it be a burden.

In any case, act on your matters so that through you alone the existing Persian items may be bought. Certainly do not neglect.

Send greetings to Pammenis and all his people. If my brother Dionysius has need, give him up to a hundred drachmas and take them from me, but do not do otherwise.

Therefore, do not neglect the purchase, but buy them immediately yourself. In any case, act knowing that, God willing, I too will soon have reached you. I have also told the deaf Dionysios that he too should buy whatever he finds. And send me a small letter through whomever you find. But do not neglect nor be indifferent about buying whatever is available, knowing that you will suffer no harm nor distress from me. In any case, take care of your business so that through you alone the Persian goods may be purchased. By all means, do not neglect this. Greet Pammenes and all his household. If my brother Dionysios has need, give him up to one hundred drachmas and receive them from me, but not otherwise.
