I boarded a small empty ship

of much capacity, where the sailor Domnos,

with a measure of wheat, has a cargo of

one hundred twenty-three choinikes.

and into the other small ship, where the sailor Roufos

has a cargo of sixty-six [(are made) (of the cargo)]

Notes on Measurements

Artaba (ἀρτάβη): an ancient measure of grain capacity.
Choinix (χοῖνιξ): a smaller measure, approximately one quart or liter.
