To Ailios Hermisias, strategos of Hermopolis, from Pamounios Pekysios, shepherd of the village of Thynai. On the second of the current month of Caesar, in the ninth year of Hadrian Caesar, some bandits came upon me in a robbing manner while I was in the fields of the village of Magdolon, near the village in the northern parts of the pastures, while I was tending the flocks of Anubion Sarapion. They inflicted upon me many blows, striking my head and the other parts of my body, having taken from me my cloak and garment and my cap and twelve silver drachmas, and they drove away three goats. Therefore, I request to command that you be summoned, the nomophylax of the village of Magdolon, and the archiphodonos, so that they may present the culprits and restore the stolen items.
