In the year of Septimius, under the authority of Flavius, the chief of Heracleopolis, from Aurelia Maura, daughter of Theodoros, from the village of Peensamoi, in the thirteenth district of the same law. Since Julian, my fellow townsman and cohabitant, has approached your honorable presence, accusing me of hubris, and your fortune, following the laws, has sent me back, I no longer dispute with him. Therefore, I confess, swearing by the divine and venerable oath of our lords Honorius and Theodosius, the eternal Augusti, that I will not differ from the aforementioned Julian, nor dispute about the pretext of fortune, but if he should provoke me with hubris, I am compelled to rise and declare according to the laws and your equity, without exception. If I should appear to have lied, I will be liable to the penalty of two and to the danger related to this matter, and I have acknowledged this when questioned.

Aurelia Maura, daughter of Theodoros, who has been appointed, swore the divine oath that she will no longer dispute with Julian about one matter as appointed. Aurelius John Timotheos, the wine merchant, having been authorized, wrote on her behalf while she was present, being uneducated.
