Of King Ptolemy, son of Ptolemy, in the ninth and twentieth year, under the priest Antiochus son of Kebba of Alexander and the gods of the Brothers, the cane-bearer Arsinoe of Philadelphus, daughter of Philon, in the month of Dios, in the Mermerthoi of the Oxyrhynchus. Pythocles son of Hippodamus, an Ammonite, secretary of the Nicada cavalry, to Spokis, Bithys of Thrace of the descendants of the horsemen, from the royal grain into the seed of the land of wheat, forty artabas. Let Spokis pay Pythocles the grain in the month of Artemisius of the three-hundredth year, in pure measure towards the bronze, and let him place it in the treasury of the rightful owner with his own expenses; if he does not pay according to what is written, let him pay a fine of four drachmas for each artaba, and let the transaction be from all the possessions of Spokis and those of the pledge towards the royal. He is a pledge of all according to the contract for the purpose of construction.
