Translation into English

"To Phommouti, a relative, and to the general and the general of Thebes, from Osoroirius and the other carriers, Amenophis, concerning those around Memnonea. We are being wronged, not moderately, and shaken by Isidorus, who is in charge of the finances of the silver of Pathyrites. We have made our escape to you, in order to receive help. For the one indicated, Isidorus, thinks he will act for us, transgressing the duties assigned to us by the kings, not to innovate anything. We request, if it seems appropriate, to arrange to write to those who are in charge, that we may do nothing and not be disturbed, so that we may exist unhindered, having been prepared for your assistance. English Translation

To Phommoutis, our relative and epistrategos and strategos of the Thebaid,
from Osoroeris and the other pastophoroi of Amenophis
from the area around the Memnoneia.
Being greatly wronged and harassed by Isidoros,
who is in charge of the administration of the silver-taxes of the Pathyrite nome,
we have taken refuge with you,
so that we may obtain assistance.
For the aforementioned Isidoros thinks he can compel us
to do things that are improper,
violating the orders given long ago by the kings
not to introduce any innovations.
We request, if it seems appropriate, that you order letters to be written
to those concerned, instructing them not to compel us
nor to trouble us,
so that we may remain unhindered
and attend to our own affairs,
having received your support.
