To Lucius Kouspios Rufinus and Lucius Statios Codratus, consuls in Sidon, on behalf of the creator priestess of the goddess of Rome, Lucius Claudius Auspicatus, in the month of Loios. Pamphilos, who is also Canopus, an Alexandrian from Egypt, purchased in the marketplace from Artemidorus, son of Aristocles, a girl of the Abaskantida lineage, Galatin by name, aged ten, for a payment of two hundred and eighty silver denarii, confirmed by the personal trust of Marcus Aelius Gaulianus, in accordance with the decree, free from all and neither a remnant nor a runaway priestess of disease. If any of these should be or not be healthy or if his contact should be or should happen partially and be confirmed, then the price shall be doubled without a command, to be given well in trust, as Pamphilos, who is also Canopus, inquired. It was agreed by Artemidorus, son of Aristocles, to give in trust and to receive the price, and these things were for him in his personal trust and confirmation, as Marcus Aelius Gaulianus commanded.

[In the consulship of Lucius Cuspius Rufinus and Lucius Statius Quadratus, at Side, during the magistracy of the priest of the goddess] Roma, Lucius Claudius Auspicatus, on the 26th day of the month Loios. Pamphilos, also called Kanopos, an Alexandrian from Egypt, purchased in the marketplace from Artemidoros, son of Aristokles, a girl named Abaskantis, of Galatian origin, about ten years old, for the price of 280 silver denarii. Marcus Aelius Gavianus guaranteed by his own good faith that she is healthy according to the edict, free from all defects, neither prone to wandering nor inclined to run away, and free from sacred disease (epilepsy). If any of these conditions are not met, or if she is found unhealthy or defective in whole or in part, and this is proven, then double the price shall be returned without dispute. Pamphilos, also called Kanopos, asked this in good faith. Artemidoros agreed to give this guarantee and acknowledged receipt of the price. Marcus Aelius Gavianus ordered these conditions to be valid by his own good faith and guarantee.
[Artemidoros, son of Aristokles:] I have sold the girl for two hundred and eighty denarii and have received the price as stated above.
[Marcus Aelius Gavianus:] I confirm the girl and by my own good faith order as stated above, which I accept.
Lucius Cuspius Rufinus, Lucius Statius Quadratus, Lucius Claudius Auspicatus, Marcus Aelius Gavianus, denarii.
