They confess to each other that Pausiris, son of Ammonius, and Apollonios, son of Apollonios, the former Pausiris has been entrusted to the Apollonios for his son Dioskoun, who is not yet of age to learn the entire craft of the gerdiakē. He himself has been knowledgeable for one year from the present day, serving and doing all that is commanded to him. Apollonios has agreed to provide for the child being clothed and nourished by the gerdius for the entire time, ten drachmas in total for clothing, and Pausiris will give him five drachmas per month for the expenses of his nourishment. And he must not take away the child from the teacher during this time, and if he does not perform all the tasks, he shall pay the teacher for each day, and if he fails to do so, he shall remain for the same number of days, and if he is taken away within the specified time, he shall owe one hundred drachmas as a penalty to the public treasury.
