I have rented to you for six years from the present year of the Emperor Domitian Caesar Augustus, six measures of grain, seeds, and fruits, which I possess from the land of Menelaus, concerning the upper land of fourteen acres, the tax of the existing acres per year of seventy-five measures of wheat, (which are) (measures of wheat) measured by the Athenian sixth measure of Paubastios Horus from the village of Terton Samou. From there, I have measured by you through Sarapion, my husband, and through Eudaimon, your father, all the existing taxes of the six-year period, which is from the present year until the seventh year and that year itself, I am full and I do not accuse you of anything at all, with all the public provisions and silver being towards me. In the seventh year, in the last year of the year, in the month of Epiph, I will measure to you other eighteen measures of wheat, (which are) (measures of wheat) measured by the sixth measure of the same Paubastios Horus. In the second year of the Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus, in the month of Sebastos, the thirtieth. I have leased to you for six years from the current second year of Emperor Domitian Caesar Augustus, the irrigation rights, seeds, and produce of six harvests, which belong to me from the allotment of Menelaos near Patre above, fourteen arouras in extent, at an annual fixed rent of seventy-five artabas of wheat (totaling 75 artabas), measured by the Athenian sixth-measure of Paubastis, son of Horos, from the village Terton Samoou. I have already received from you through my husband Sarapion and through your father Eudaimon all the aforementioned rents for the six-year period, that is, from the current second year until the seventh year inclusive. I am fully satisfied and have no claim against you whatsoever, with all public obligations, both grain and monetary, being my responsibility. In the seventh year, the final year, in the month Epiph, I will measure out to you an additional eighteen artabas of wheat (totaling 18 artabas), measured by the same sixth-measure of Paubastis, son of Horos. In the second year of Emperor Caesar Domitian Augustus, month Sebastos, the thirtieth day. I, Sarapion, husband of Helen, have signed on behalf of my wife, having received all the rents, and have written for her, as she does not know letters.
