In the consulship of the most illustrious Flavii Caesarius and Atticus.
To Aurelius Kallinikos, son of Hermeios, councillor of the most illustrious city of Hermoupolis,
from Aurelius Taurinos, son of Pathermouthis, from the same city.
I willingly and voluntarily wish to lease from you, for whatever period you wish, from the crops of the fortunate incoming twelfth indiction, the four arouras of land belonging to you near the administrative district of Leukos Pyrgos ("White Tower"), which will be shown by measurement as sown land, which came to you from an exchange with your brother Demetrios, for sowing whatever I choose, at a fixed rent of twenty artabas of wheat and peas, which rent I will measure out to you each year in the month of Epeiph, clean, new, sifted, by the Athenian measure, at the threshing floors of the same village, with all public taxes of every kind being your responsibility as the landowner.
The lease is valid. And upon being questioned, I acknowledged. Thoth 5.
I, Aurelius Taurinos, son of Pathermouthis, the aforementioned, have leased as stated above.
I, Aurelius Hermogenes, son of Besarion, from Hermoupolis, wrote on his behalf, as he does not know letters.
Written by me, Hermogenes.
