Dionysios, son of Chairemon, and his son Onnophrius, both Persians of the lineage of Nemeria, greetings to you.
We acknowledge that we have from you, in relation to the city of Oxyrhynchus, through the table of Sarapion and Dionysios, a payment of eighteen artabas of wheat; which we will return to you in the month of Pauni of the current fifth and twentieth year of Caesar, new, pure, unadulterated fire, measured by the four-choinikoi, established for our own expenses, wherever you may arrange.
If we do not return as it is written, we will pay you a fine of four thousand bronze drachmas for each artaba that we do not return, being liable for your action, both from us and from our own mutual obligations for payment and from whatever we may have.
[And from all that we have] as if from a legal obligation.

[....] greetings. We acknowledge that we have received from you at the Sarapieion near the city of Oxyrhynchos, through the bank of Zoilos and Dionysios, the price of eighteen artabas of wheat (total: 18),
which we will repay to you in the month Pauni of the current twenty-fifth year of Caesar, in new, clean, unadulterated wheat, measured by the official four-choenix measure,
delivered at our own expense wherever you designate at the same Sarapieion, without lawsuit, trial, or any excuse whatsoever. If we do not repay as written, we will pay you as penalty four thousand drachmas of bronze for each artaba we fail to deliver,
with the right of execution against us jointly and severally, and against whichever of us you choose, and against all our property, just as if by legal judgment.
