To Aurelius Apion, who is also Theonammon, gymnasiarch, and to Melas, son of Theon, who has been appointed in the first gymnasiarch, both of the illustrious and most illustrious city of Oxyrhynchus, regarding the judgment before Marcus Aurelius Hermophilus Eudaimon, son of Amoi, from the illustrious city of Oxyrhynchus. According to the orders concerning the judgment of those approaching from the gymnasium, they are from this lineage, and were appointed in the amphitheater of Metrōios, the brother of my compatriot Koproutos, son of Marcus Aurelius Flavius, being of Bessarion, regarding the current year (of years) [around 13].
From where, having come to this judgment, I declare according to the occurrence in the year of the god Vespasian, those from the gymnasium to be judged, to be judged the father of the ancestor of the one approaching, the ancestor Origen, son of Asclepiades, in the amphitheater of the Chēnoboskoi, according to which he brought forth evidence as his grandfather Asclepiades, the geometer, is in the year of the god Caesar, and the ancestor of him [to be judged] in the year of the god Trajan in the amphitheater of Borrha, and the ancestor of his grandfather to be judged in the year of the god Hadrian in the amphitheater of Pā. And the ancestor of his father to be judged in the year of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus in the amphitheater of the same, and the ancestor of him to be judged in the year of the god Commodus in the amphitheater of the same, and the grandfather of him to be judged in the year of the gods Severus and Antoninus in the amphitheater of Hermaios; and the father of him Bessarion to be judged in the year of Decius in the amphitheater of Metrōios; and I myself to be judged in the year of Decius in the amphitheater of Heracles, having provided evidence for the known judgment.
And I swear by the fortune of Claudius Caesar, the revered lord, that the aforementioned is true, and that Flavius is of the lineage of Bessarion and of Koproutos, and that there is no position that is not to be imposed, nor any foreign securities or homonymy to be used, or to be liable to the oath. (Year of the Emperor Caesar Marcus Aurelius) Claudius, pious and fortunate, revered, Mesore. [(hand 2) Aurelius] [(hand 3) Aurelius the certain] Apollonios of the hieroneikoi from Ephesus.
Flavius being of the lineage of Bessarion and of Koproutos as is stated.
