“Sarapius rented from the city of Oxyrhynchus, from Diogenes, the land of Seriphius for the current fourth year from the recorded lands concerning Mouhinax, a two-fold share of the land, so that he may sow with grain, from the current year of grain six and a half artabæ of the fourth choinix, two of which are free from all danger, of the public lands and of the contracts existing with the lessee; which he shall have dominion over the fruits until the rent is paid. And when the lease is confirmed, the lessee shall pay the rent to Paus in the same month of the current year on the harvest of Seriphius, pure new unadulterated grain measured as public, measured by the four choinix measure of the lessee of the lands measured by him. Whatever he may owe, let him pay with half a measure, and the transaction shall be from him and from all that belongs to him. The lease is valid.
