To my lord and most honorable patron, Philoxenus the landholder, Chairemmons greetings. I request and beseech through the small amounts of grain; I have given ten artabas of grain, and I have not found the remaining twenty-six artabas to give. For I know that it is most wonderful that I have many thousands for you this year. By the gods, I ask for grain in a measure, and I will send letters from Phoibammons the caretaker, to provide the twenty-six artabas until your most wonderful self comes to the village and does what you wish. For I know that in many matters I have helped you, by the gods, if you come to the village, if you wish to provide the honor, if you wish to provide another type. May you be strong, I have many times, my lord patron, my lords.
