Greetings from Hermaios. I declare that I have been measured to you for the use of an interest-bearing loan of eight (units) of pure unadulterated wheat. I will return these to you in the month of Epiph, of the current year 6 (of the reign) of Trajan Caesar, our lord, pure new unadulterated wheat, measured to the Athenian sixth measure, without any excess and with due consideration. In the sixth year of the Emperor Caesar Nerva, I, Sarapion of Nearchus, wrote this under his authority, not knowing the letters.

[Κ]ορνη(λι-) Ἡρακ(λ-) τεκτω(ν-) (πυροῦ) (ἀρταβ-) η
To Hermaios, greetings. I acknowledge that I have received from you a loan with interest of eight artabas of pure, unadulterated wheat, barley-free (totaling 8 artabas of wheat), which I will repay to you in the month of Epeiph of the current 6th year of Emperor Trajan Caesar, the lord, in new, pure, unadulterated wheat, barley-free, measured by the Athenian sixth-measure, without delay and without dispute... until the repayment of these (goods), in the sixth year of Emperor Caesar Nerva Trajan Augustus Germanicus. I, Sarapion son of Nearchos, have written on his behalf, as he does not know letters.
The text is fragmentary and contains abbreviations and uncertain readings. The Latin fragment "[Κ]ορνη(λι-) Ἡρακ(λ-) τεκτω(ν-) (πυροῦ) (ἀρταβ-) η" appears to be a notation or signature possibly indicating a name (Cornelius?), occupation (carpenter?), and a measure of wheat ("artabas").
