Of the highest office of Stelichos and Aurelian, the most illustrious, Aurelius Gennadios from the city of Arsinoe, from the junction of the Arabs, to Flavius Sarapammon, a soldier of the fortresses of the Mansions of Memphis, greetings. I acknowledge that through this written document of mine, I have been fully assured by you of the payment for five fine sheep of the onychine breed. And I will render the payment to you in the month of Tybi of the 14th indiction, without any objection and from all my possessions, just as I have acknowledged in court when questioned. Aurelius Gennadios, the one who is proposed, I acknowledge that I owe to Flavius Sarapammon five fine onychine sheep and I will render them by the appointed time. Aurelius Elias of Dio wrote on his behalf regarding the document. I have noted the acknowledgment of Gennadios to Flavius Sarapammon.

Aurelius Gennadios, Ol, from the city of the Arsinoites, from the quarter of the Arabs,
to Flavius Sarapammon, soldier of the fortresses of the Tents (Skēnai) of Mandron in the Memphite nome, greetings.
I acknowledge by this written security of mine that I have received from you the price of five perfect, acceptable, cloven-hoofed sheep with wool.
I will repay you these sheep in the month of Tybi of the current fourteenth indiction, without delay and without any dispute, from all my possessions, as if by legal judgment, and having been questioned, I have acknowledged this.
I, Aurelius Gennadios, the aforementioned, acknowledge that I have and owe to Flavius Sarapammon five perfect, wool-bearing, cloven-hoofed sheep, and I will repay them at the appointed time as stated above.
I, Aurelius Elias, son of Dios, wrote on behalf of him who is illiterate. I have signed.
