Translation

To Apollophanes, to Sarapammon, the general of Arsinoites, of Heracleides, of the district, from Herieus, Tatas, from the village of Soknopaiou Nysos. After I completed the works pertaining to the necessary tasks until the sowing of the grain lands that were around the same village in a place called Towa in the current year of Amounis Kialis and Horus Tathmios and Panefremmis, called Moros and Petronios, they and those with them, having come from the same village, swore above the lands sown by me as is appropriate, that from this I have suffered no small loss. Therefore, according to necessity, I present this clearly to be made into this little book for me to keep the account with them regarding this matter. (hand 2) In the year 17 of Lucius Septimius Severus, of Eusebius Pertinax and Marcus Aurelius Antoninus, of Eusebius Sebastous and Publius Septimius Geta Caesar, of the August Tubi.

English Translation

To Apollophanes, also called Sarapammon, strategos of the Arsinoite nome, Herakleides division,
from Herieus, son of Tatas, from the village of Soknopaiou Nesos.
After I had completed the necessary agricultural tasks up to the sowing of grain fields
located around the same village, in a place called Toa(  ), in the current year,
Amounis Kiale, Horos Tathemios(?), Panephemmis called Moros,
and Petronios, and those with them from the same village, came upon the fields
sown by me, as stated above, and destroyed them, so that as a result
I suffered no small loss. Therefore,
as required, I submit this very declaration
so that this document may be registered,
in order that my claim against them concerning this matter may remain valid.
Farewell.

(Second hand) Year 17 of Lucius Septimius Severus Pius Pertinax and Marcus Aurelius Antoninus Pius, Augusti,
and Publius Septimius Geta Caesar Augustus, Tybi 28.
