Θεενας Σίμωνος λιβλάριος ἔγραψα.
In the time of the consuls Publius Metilius Nepos and Marcus Annius Libo, in the month of Xandikos, on the fifteenth day of the month, in the third year of the new province of Arabia, it was published that Judah son of Eleazar, of the family of the Chthusians, gave his own daughter, the virgin Judith, to Kimber, son of Ananias the Somala, both from the village of Engad in Judea, residing there. They are to be the wife of Kimber, Judith, for the purpose of marriage according to the laws, being offered to him as a suitable woman in a proposal of a dowry, consisting of silver and gold and clothing, as they both say, being worth two hundred silver denarii, which the groom Judah Kimber acknowledged to have received from the same Selampsion's wife of his, through the hand of Judah her father, and he owes her the same Selampsion's wife of his, along with three hundred other denarii which he acknowledged to give her in accordance with the terms of her previously written proposal, all for the purpose of her sustenance and clothing, and for the future children according to Greek law, upon the faith and risk of the same Judah Kimber, and all his possessions which he has in his own homeland and here, and those which he may acquire everywhere, in whatever manner the wife Selampsion may choose, or whoever acts on her behalf or for her, to carry out the collection. But Judah, called Kimber, shall change this writing with his wife Selampsion, secured in silver as is fitting whenever he is required by her expenses, without contradicting anything. If not, he shall pay her all the previously written denarii double, and in the event of this action being taken against her by Judah Kimber, her husband, and from his possessions, in whatever manner she may choose, or whoever acts on her behalf or for her, to carry out the collection. He was asked in faith and these things were agreed to be done in this manner.
