"On the consulate of Publius Metilius Nepos for the second time and Marcus Annius Libo, sixteen days before the Kalends of May, according to the numbering of the new province, in the twenty-third year, on the twenty-sixth of Xandikos, in Maoza near Zoara, Judas son of Eleazar, of Chthousion, from Engaddi, residing in Maoza, gave to Selampsious, his daughter, all his possessions in Engaddi: half of a courtyard... half of the rooms and upper chambers therein, excluding a small old courtyard near the same courtyard; and the other half of the courtyard and rooms Judas gave to the same Selampsious after his death. The neighbors of the courtyard and rooms are: to the east, Jesus son of Maddaronas and an open space; to the west, the donor himself; to the south, the marketplace; to the north, a road. Regarding any dispute with neighbors, Selampsious shall not be involved. With entrances and exits, bricks, beams, doors, windows, and all things therein, so that Selampsious shall possess half of the aforementioned courtyard and rooms from today, and the other half after the death of Judas himself, fully and securely forever, to build, raise, elevate, dig, deepen, acquire, use, sell, manage, in whatever manner she chooses, all things fully and securely. And whenever Selampsious instructs the same Judas, he shall register it publicly."
