from the district of the shepherd of the most esteemed
Aurelius Apianus. On the 19th of the month Tybi,
as I was coming from the village
with the livestock I had, to the aforementioned village of Theoxenida,
and having arrived at the memorials
of the same village of Theoxenida, some
criminals whom I do not know came upon me
and took away the black donkey I had. Therefore,
I present these books to you, making this clear
to you, lord, regarding the matter
concerning the visible causes.

from the village of Theoxenis in the Themistes district,
shepherd of the livestock belonging to the most honorable Aurelius Apianus.
On the 19th of the current month Tybi, as I was coming up from the village [name missing]
with the livestock belonging to the aforementioned honorable man, heading towards the aforementioned village of Theoxenis,
and when I had arrived near the tombs of the same village of Theoxenis,
certain criminals, whom I do not know, attacked me and drove away the black donkey which I had.
Therefore, I submit this petition, making this very fact clear to you, my lord,
so that my claim may remain valid against those who will be found responsible.
