To Apollonius, the general of Apollonopolis
From the Seven Villages near
Meurius Pachompsaitos of those from the village
of Poios. They are inscribed concerning the same
village administration in my name, a royal
land of 12 arouras from the village of Apheliot.
And concerning the village administration of Teruthios,
it is 6 arouras. Since therefore such a result
does not hold for me, I am burdened by the tax,
from here I am obliged according to the benefaction
of the lord Hadrian Caesar to cultivate
the aforementioned arouras at the rate of
one artaba for each aroura, making it 24 artabas,
accepting the unwatered and half-watered,
in order that you may be benefitted.
(In the year) 2 of Hadrian Caesar, the lord
Meuris Pachompsaitos has given as is stated. He wrote on behalf of
himself, not knowing the letters.

[To Apollonios, strategos of the Apollonopolite nome,]
from [(Hepta)k]omia, from Meuris son of Pachompsais, from the village of Poeis.
There are registered under my name in the same village registry royal land:
5 arouras (Egyptian land measure), 12 (units?), 4 (units?), 8 (units?),
2 (units?) from the eastern side of the village, 8 arouras (?),
and around the village registry of Terytheis 8 arouras, making a total of 1 aroura.
Since I cannot bear such a tax burden, I am weighed down by the rent.
Therefore, I undertake, according to the benefaction
of the lord Hadrian Caesar, to cultivate
the aforementioned arouras at the rate of wheat,
one and one twenty-fourth artaba per aroura, making a total of 1 24 artabas,
accepting responsibility for drought and half (of the land?) irrigated,
so that I may be benefited.
Year 2 of Hadrian Caesar the lord,
month Tybi (?),
I, Meuris son of Pachompsais, have submitted as stated above.
Written on his behalf, as he does not know letters.
Line 14: read "ἡμισείας" instead of "ἡμισίας".
