English Translation

To Sabinus and associates, public bankers:
I, Syros, son of Euporos, public cattle-breeder of the village of Tamauis in the division of Herakleides, acknowledge receipt from you of the letters sent to me concerning the freight charges owed to me, for which I transported public wheat from the granaries of the division of Polemon to the harbors for processing of the crop of the 17th year, according to the order, the current date being the 24th of the month Mecheir, for two and ⅝ artabas of wheat, at the rate of 8 drachmas per artaba, the total sum collected being 21 drachmas, making a total of 21 drachmas exactly.
Syros, about 35 years old, with a scar on the right hand.
