Under the consuls Sergius Octavius Laenas Pontianus and Marcus Antonius Rufinus,
seven days before the Ides of August, according to the numbering of the new province of Arabia, in the twenty-sixth year, on the nineteenth day of the month Loios,
in Maoza of Zoarene.
Jesus, son of Manaemus, from the village of Soffathe near the city of Liviada in Peraea, acknowledged to Salome, also called Komaisē, daughter of Levius, his wife, a Maozene woman, that they [live together] as before this time.
He acknowledged that he had received from her on this day her dowry of ninety-six silver denarii, and a valuation of respectable feminine goods in silver, gold, clothing, and other women's items of equivalent value in silver, along with the right to sustenance and clothing for herself and their future children according to Greek law and custom, under the guarantee and risk of all his possessions, both those he has in his homeland Soffathe and those he may acquire in the future.
[He agreed] that Komaisē herself or whoever acts through or on her behalf may collect [these sums] in whatever manner she chooses, the agreement having been questioned and confirmed by oath, in the presence of Manaemus, guardian of the same Komaisē.
