Aurelius Horion, cavalryman of the troop (eile) of Apriana, of the turma of Dionysianus, having been dispatched by Aurelius Valerius Soterichus, decurion of the same troop stationed in the Small Oasis (Oasis Minor) of Hermias, to the grain-collector of the Upper toparchy... greetings. I have received and measured out, according to the order of Aurelius Anoubion, strategos (governor) of the nome, with the co-signature of Horion also called Apion, royal secretary of the same nome, barley from the harvest of the past 20th year, pure, unmixed, without chaff, unsifted, measured by the official half-artaba measure as ordered, thirty-four artabas and one forty-eighth (1/48), from which was deducted for the one percent tax half an artaba and one ninety-sixth (1/96). The receipt is issued in triplicate: one simple copy for you, the grain-collectors and sealers, and a double copy for the strategos.
