To the overseers of the grains of Alexandria, greetings. Since Hermias from the praepositus has reported two withdrawals of the grains of the same 12th indiction, 40,000 artabas of grain have been reported.
One (artaba), one (artaba), the other (artaba), the preceding (artaba), the preceding (artaba).
For the city, for the same 12th indiction, and these were received from various governors, therefore we agree upon the preceding measure of the grains (artabas).
To write in the same 12th indiction and it is not permitted for us to write these in the 13th indiction due to the writing in the same 12th indiction. The agreement is simply written and we have agreed as requested.

In the consulship of Valentinian, the most illustrious son of our lord Valens Augustus, and Flavius Victor, the most illustrious general, on the 27th of Thoth:
Aurelii Thonius, son of Thonius, and Neilammon, son of Ammonius, both assistant collectors of the illustrious and most illustrious city of the Oxyrhynchites, to Aurelii Sarapion, son of Plutarchus, and Theon, son of Ammonius(?), and Eulogius, son of Ptolemaeus, and their associates, overseers of barley at Alexandria, greetings.
Since Hermias, one of the praepositi, has delivered two receipts of barley, from those delivered by him for the same 11th indiction, amounting to one thousand two hundred forty-one artabas (total: 1241 artabas), one receipt being 211 artabas, the other 1030 artabas, which the city administration has received for the same 11th indiction from various shipmasters, we therefore acknowledge that we are responsible for registering the aforementioned measure of barley (1241 artabas) in the accounts of the same 11th indiction, and that it is not permitted for us to register these in the accounts of the 13th indiction, since they have already been registered in the same 11th indiction. This agreement is valid, written simply, and upon being questioned, we have agreed as stated above.
I, Aurelius Thonius, the aforementioned, agree as stated above.
I, Aurelius Neilammon, the aforementioned, agree as stated above.
