Translation into English

[To Aurelius Asclepiades, who became the note-taker, succeeding the command of Oxyrhynchus.]
[From] Aurelia Dioscuraina, the matron of the daughter of Dioscorus, who also became a note-taker,
and as he was dealing with matters. A certain Salpon, son of Cornelius, having rented a place of ours near the village
of Ibion, Chusis, and owing land for grain.
[He was responsible for] taxes and extraordinary charges
and wine, and not having made the payment.
[He saved the place]
[He brought it back] to the greatness of my lord [the most distinguished] governor Rupilius Felix.
[Of these] he was independent, my lord.
[My governor] sent to you the matter so that you might consider and determine the things from the laws concerning him.
[He is able to think] that he ought to change the obligations of the work,
not a few, but [I am] handing over the books that testify
and I ask that it be sent to one of those who serve you,
[the one written] to Salpon, so that he may know what is necessary for him.
[In the ninth year] of the Emperor Caesar Gaius Aurelius Valerius
[Diocletian and in the year] of the Emperor Caesar Marcus Valerius
[Maximianus of the Germans, the Most Pious, the Most Fortunate, the Most August.]
[(hand 2) I have given] Aurelia Dioscuraina.
