To Titus Tai,
to the governor of Egypt,
from Dionysius Amynthianus, having been released
from the cavalry of Aprianis.
By the command of Paktoumeios
Magnus, who was leading and the most powerful
commander of the camp, Cominius Atticus,
I have brought here from the Oxyrhynchite
nome, from the dispatch of the general,
for the needs of the second legion of Trajan,
strong and with a number of seventy-five.
Since already forty days have passed
and I have been detained here, and the
receipt of them has not yet occurred,
as I have also been left behind
and those with me for provisions, I ask
you, if it seems good to your fortune, to command
when you deem it appropriate to receive these
things, so that I may be able
to depart to my own, when the time of
sowing has come,
to be able to return to my own, oh well-favored one.
Farewell. Dionysius Amynthianus has delivered.

To Titus Taius Sanctus, Prefect of Egypt, from Dionysius, son of Amyntianus, discharged from the cavalry squadron Apriana. By order of Pactumeius Magnus, the former governor, and of the most excellent camp-prefect Cominius Atticus, I have brought here from the Oxyrhynchite nome, by dispatch of the strategos, for the needs of the Second Legion Traiana Fortis, cloaks numbering seven hundred seventy-five. Since I have already been detained here for forty days and the reception of these cloaks has not yet taken place, so that I and those with me have been left without provisions, I request you, if it seems good to your fortune, to order that, after inspection, these cloaks be received, so that I too, as the time for sowing has arrived, may return to my own affairs, and thus be benefited. Farewell. I, Dionysius Amyntianus, have submitted this.
