The letter therefore

sopit,

you will do well

by giving it to Kerdon,

who is with us, since

it is necessary

and he himself intends

to march. I wish you

English Translation

Hymenaios to Dionysios, the most honored, greetings.
Therefore, regarding the letter which I sent to you in the evening by your Ethiopian servant, so that it might be given to Theon, the strategos (military commander) of the Prosopite nome, you will do well to give it to Kerdon, who is from us, since it is necessary and he himself intends to travel by foot.
I pray that you remain in good health, most honored one.
And immediately give him the letter.
