Aurelius Akylas, the archpriest of the illustrious city of the Antinoeans, and as I transact with Marcus Aurelius, Lucammonius Hadrianus, and Olympius, and Gaius, through Marcus Aurelius Serenus, and as I transact from the city of Oxyrhynchus, to both guarantors of Aurelius Demetrius, greetings. Since it has been agreed with my son Aurelius Nikanthinos, the one who has guaranteed you, Aurelius Demetrius, contending for the contest of the boys' wrestlers, to fall three times and to grant the old silver coinage of three thousand eight hundred drachmas, without any condition, if this should happen, the crown shall be dedicated, and he shall not be allowed to pass away concerning these matters. And if Demetrius himself should transgress anything of the written and agreed upon with my own son, he shall likewise pay to the same son of mine the same amount concerning the old silver coinage, three talents without any condition and without any pretext according to the law of the guarantee, because we have made the agreements concerning these matters. The agreement is valid, written in duplicate, of which I have one copy and you have one copy, and having been questioned, I have acknowledged it. (Year) 14 of the Emperor Caesar Publius Licinius Gallienus, the Greatest German, the Greatest Persian, of the Most Pious and Fortunate, the August, Mechir.
